About

Hi, I’m Sam.

I’m a qualified horticulturist based in Watsonia, running Garden-Care across Melbourne’s north and north-east. I completed my formal horticultural training in 2020, and I’ve spent the years since working across both private gardens and larger managed grounds.

At its core, my job is simple: make your garden work properly. Sometimes that’s a straightforward mow or a once-off clean-up for a garden that’s gotten away from you. Other times it’s a full redesign — and when it is, I lean heavily on Australian native and reset-friendly species, matched carefully to your soil, aspect and how much time you actually want to spend on upkeep.

Either way, you get the same qualified, considered care. You don’t need to be ready to overhaul the whole garden to work with me — plenty of people just want it looking after.

“Whether it’s a quick tidy-up or a full replant, the goal’s the same — a garden that works properly.”

How I work

Clear scope, clear outcomes. Whether it’s a single mow, a once-off reset, or an ongoing maintenance round, you’ll know exactly what’s being done and why — explained in plain language, with the horticultural reasoning behind it if you want it.
